Too artificial, strange service, bad location. The design is not real, artificial rocks and trees makes it "like a jungle" but it's a shame to have so much artificial design in one of the most beautiful places in Thailand. Our service experience was very poor, for example... read more rooms allocation between family members was strict and not friendly, or a demand to pay for lunch on spot and not on checkout, and above all we had a problem of no hot water in our room shower, and the answer we got is "there is nothing to do, we have monkeys around, maybe the did some damage"!!!! 😭 We had to use our friends shower, it appears the monkeys are harming only specific rooms... Location is beautiful, but a long walk to the small town with all the restaurants and agencies, especially with small kids for dinner. Do yourself a favor, take a less "fake" place, and more in the center of town. Added some beautiful pictures of the hotel to balance the 1 star 🌟
the scenery is beautiful. the place is quiet and serene the rooms are clean with big balconies. however, the rooms are very simple and small. the breakfast is minimal and not very good. it is a 7-10 minute walk to the town... read more center. and the pool was closed but they did not publish when we made the reservation.
Had a great time at Rock and Treehouse recently! We only stayed two nights but we were upgraded to one of the newer circular cabins. It was peaceful but felt a bit like a fish bowl as you can see all the way through all four... read more cabins. My main gripe with our room is there are few hangers and it was difficult to dry out our clothes. The property is beautiful with a great attention to detail and the staff is all very polite. The pool is larger and nice and chilled, which helps in the jungle! It is a walk to the town and national park, and which is definitely a bit of a sketchy one as there's a crossing without hand rails and a steep hill but it is easily accessible. We took a tour offered by the hotel of bamboo rafting, which also included fish and monkey feeding. We really enjoyed it.
The location of this place is great. In the midst of nature, and a few mins walk from a few restaurants and shops. It's cool to have the monkeys around. Rooms are clean. The common spaces are a bit worn out though, there are some... read more works going on. It's a shame they are not taken more care of, adding some deck chairs to chill next to the pool for exempl would be a plus
This hotel is beautiful! The staff are very kind and help you with anything you need. The location is pretty central and close to a little village if you need anything. The room we stayed in was great, very spacious, the bed was so comfortable and more importantly... read more it was very clean.Breakfast is a continental and traditional buffet and the restaurant offer a good choice of food for lunch and dinner. We even had lunch with some monkeys playing around near by us as well.Thank you for our stay.
When we stayed here, we were the only ones in the resort. At first it was a bit strange but it was so quite and relaxing. There are still some constructions going on in the resort. The resort was a 10 minutes walk to the... read more village. The reception was very helpful and kind. At our last day there were some more people arriving and with that the monkeys came too. You get the real sense of being in the jungle.
good experience, we spent 1 night in this lovely room on a tree, unfortunately didn't get to see monkeys, staff was nice, great value for money, breakfast can use an improvement, very basic with only a few options, many bees and ants running around. I... read more think 3 star hotel would be more fitting to the hotel
The hotel itself is amazing. Staff if very nice and kind. Our negative experience: we booked an overnight lake tour in the hotel and it was quite dissapointing. Group size was 35. In the "jungle trekking" 35 people walked together. "Morning safari" was going with two... read more extremely loud longtail boats, obviously we did not spot any animals, it is impossible like this. After that we got 1 hour free time for kayaking but there was not enough kayaks for everyone. So we spent 20mins waiting for someone to return a kayak. Cave tour was terrible, with the 35 people it was crowded. I recommend to book yourself 1-2 nights on a floating resort, go kayaking on your own, relax and not participate in this organized tour!
My husband and I spent two nights here, but we wish our stay was longer!!So many positives: Hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. My husband has dietary restrictions and they were more than willing to accommodate him. I love that the hotel has multiple... read more activities you can schedule with them, and they figure out transport & guide for you. We did the half-day jungle trek and it was one of the best experiences we had on our 3-week long vacation. If you like nature and/or animals, I highly recommend this tour. It was INCREDIBLE. The rooms were massive. Nice wooden floors. Walls of the bedroom were all giant picture windows which was beautiful. The outdoor balcony is huge. The bathroom was huge. Good toilets and good water temp. Monkeys frequented the area which was cool to see. Rooms contain mini fridge and lockbox. Food at the resort hotel was absolutely delicious. Breakfast was a bit simple but it did the trick. This resort is a 5 min drive from Khao Sok National Park which is so convenient! Also within a couple minutes of a tiny town with a couple restaurants & cafes. We did not use the pool although they do have a small one.My complaints are few and minor: The water pressure in the shower sometimes gave out momentarily, but that's understandable seeing as you're staying in the jungle. AC took a while to get going and cool the room down, but if you take the physical key they give you and leave the key card in the room to run electricity (and AC), it gets better. I think my biggest issue was that the curtains on the bedroom windows didn't shut all the way. At least one window most certainly will be facing another bungalow or the restaurant. Especially at night when it's dark outside and you turn the lights on inside, you can see everything... I wish the curtains overlapped instead of leaving a gap between them.Overall, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and we would for sure stay here again. I recommend it. I rate it 4.5/5 stars, rounded up to 5!
