Had a great time at Rock and Treehouse recently!We only stayed two nights but we were upgraded to one of the newer circular cabins. It was peaceful but felt a bit like a fish bowl as you can see all the way through all four... read more cabins. My main gripe with our room is there are few hangers and it was difficult to dry out our clothes.The property is beautiful with a great attention to detail and the staff is all very polite. The pool is larger and nice and chilled, which helps in the jungle!It is a walk to the town and national park, and which is definitely a bit of a sketchy one as there's a crossing without hand rails and a steep hill but it is easily accessible.We took a tour offered by the hotel of bamboo rafting, which also included fish and monkey feeding. We really enjoyed it.

Far too expensive, but cool place to stay, sitting on your balcony and hear the sounds of all the animals around you. You see a lot of monkeys around you. Watch out that they do not steel your food. The location of this place is great. In the midst of nature, and a few mins walk from a few restaurants and shops. It's cool to have the monkeys around. Rooms are clean. When we stayed here, we were the only ones in the resort. At first it was a bit strange but it was so quite and relaxing. There are still some constructions going on in the resort. The resort was a 10 minutes walk to the... read more village. The reception was very helpful and kind. At our last day there were some more people arriving and with that the monkeys came too. You get the real sense of being in the jungle.

We did the half-day jungle trek and it was one of the best experiences we had on our 3-week long vacation. If you like nature and/or animals, I highly recommend this tour. It was INCREDIBLE. The rooms were massive. Nice wooden floors. Walls of the bedroom were all giant picture windows which was beautiful. The outdoor balcony is huge. The bathroom was huge. Good toilets and good water temp. Monkeys frequented the area which was cool to see. Rooms contain mini fridge and lockbox. Food at the resort hotel was absolutely delicious. Breakfast was a bit simple but it did the trick. This resort is a 5 min drive from Khao Sok National Park which is so convenient! Also within a couple minutes of a tiny town with a couple restaurants & cafes. We did not use the pool although they do have a small one.My complaints are few and minor: The water pressure in the shower sometimes gave out momentarily, but that's understandable seeing as you're staying in the jungle. AC took a while to get going and cool the room down, but if you take the physical key they give you and leave the key card in the room to run electricity (and AC), it gets better. I think my biggest issue was that the curtains on the bedroom windows didn't shut all the way. At least one window most certainly will be facing another bungalow or the restaurant. Especially at night when it's dark outside and you turn the lights on inside, you can see everything... I wish the curtains overlapped instead of leaving a gap between them.Overall, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and we would for sure stay here again. I recommend it. I rate it 4.5/5 stars, rounded up to 5!

This resort is so unique and cool!! I’m bummed we only had one night. The pictures don’t do it justice. The entire resort feels like something out of the Swiss Family Robinson. Too artificial, strange service, bad location. The design is not real, artificial rocks and trees makes it "like a jungle" but it's a shame to have so much artificial design in one of the most beautiful places in Thailand. Our service experience was very poor, for example... read more rooms allocation between family members was strict and not friendly, or a demand to pay for lunch on spot and not on checkout, and above all we had a problem of no hot water in our room shower, and the answer we got is "there is nothing to do, we have monkeys around, maybe the did some damage"!!!! 😭 We had to use our friends shower, it appears the monkeys are harming only specific rooms... Location is beautiful, but a long walk to the small town with all the restaurants and agencies, especially with small kids for dinner. Do yourself a favor, take a less "fake" place, and more in the center of town. Added some beautiful pictures of the hotel to balance the 1 star 🌟

Amazing place all around. Most beautiful place i stayed in in thailnd (other than the floating bungalows, even more beautiful). In the jungle, amazing view into the jungle from my terrace. There are monkeys (don't come near!) And frogs, and so so many butterflies. Breakfast... read more is nice. If it rained, there are mini waterfalls on the permiter that flow. The service was also the very best i had in thailnd. The worker there was so pleasant and also so efficient, with patience and solution to every problem. She had good English too. It's really close to the village (there's a 5 minutes shortcut! Don't go from the main road) and there's plenty of food and bars and minimarts. And amazing views - we saw a rainbow twice!! I reccomand going to eat in the village rather than the hotels restaurant, the food was better it was great. I absolutely reccomand.

What a stunning and beatuiful back to nature resort.Due to travel plans we arrived very early about 3 hours before check in. Understandly rooms were not ready. Staff let us relax and we slept comfortably on the outside sofas until room was ready. They actually... read more sped up getting ourbroom ready early. Excellent service. The reception staff member was exceptional at explaining surroundings and nearby places to see. Also organised our tubingbdown Khao Sok river which was an unforgettable experience. Just imagine a lazy river in Jurassic Park.A little walk to the town and not very lit when returning at night but hilarious trying to navigate.Free use of umbrellas just in case of the common Thailand downfall.Only downside was the clenliness of the small pool with no seating area by the pool.....but it as the jungle.
